The Kasbah Bab Ourika has a total of fifteen rooms and suites. In 2011, it was awarded the Fodders Top one hundred hotels of the World, which is an amazing achievement. The Kasbah has been constructed principally in rammed earth, the traditional Berber building technique. The Kasbah’s hot water supply is heated by solar panels and there is a programme established to generate its own electricity and to assist the community with projects funded by the hotel for the benefit of local schools and villages.
