Riad Mur Akush is located in one of the oldest and most authentic quarters in the Marrakech medina,the Bab Doukkala quarter. Within 10 minutes walk of the famous Djemaa el Fna, 2 minutes from the souks, and with road access in 30 meters this is one of the best and safest locations in the medina.

Riad Mur Akush has 5 large and comfortable rooms, all en-suite and air-conditioned and in a combination of double and twin rooms. All Riad Mur Akush’s rooms have a sitting area and our grand Suite Amel a separate sitting room with a working fireplace, perfect for the cool winter nights. The bathrooms are also unique, in lively Moroccan colors or tadelack and each with a different character. The building, an old merchant’s residence, has been revitalized, using traditional Moroccan arts (zellizes, tadelact, besmat), with unique furniture and old Berber pieces sourced in remote Atlas villages.

The Riad offers a plethora of common areas to its guests. Riad Mur Akush’s 2 living-rooms, one traditionally Moroccan and the other one influenced by the Berber style (with a fireplace), the dining area, the 2 terraces offering magnificent views of the breathtaking Atlas Mountains and a large patio with its exquisite fountain, mean that the riad’s guests can chose their favorite corner of paradise to have their breakfast, a evening meal or read a book.

Our in-house cook will prepare wonderful feasts for you and our riad manager will give you advise and suggestions on any trips or excursions you wish to take. Both English and French are spoke at the riad and children under the age of 13 can stay for free.
