Djemaa el-Fna Square cultural impact leaves visitors open mouthed and gaping in astonishment and wonder. It is probably one of the most exotic places on Earth.
Snake charming is a practice it appears that hypnotises snakes by merely playing a musical instrument. A small dancing presentation may also be included in handling the snakes or stage other outwardly dangerous acts like kissing the snake, fold it around the neck, etc. This tradition is widespread in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Malaysia. North African also holds this kind of street shows in Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia.
Pictures can be taken upon a small payment to the street snake performers (around 10 Dh to 20 Dh will be ok; 1 or 2 Euros). We do not advise on taking pictures without permission, making pictures while hide from view or skip away after making them.
