Photo Gallery of Majorelle Garden, Marrakesh botanical garden, built by Jacques Majorelle in 1924 and owned by Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé.
This is one of the most visited places in Marrakesh. Its unique beauty stands out from the contrast of Marrakesh’s “red city”. The garden has been open to the public since 1947. Since 1980 the garden has been owned by Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé.
The garden also houses the Islamic Art Museum of Marrakesh, whose collection includes North African textiles from Saint-Laurent’s personal collection as well as ceramics, jewelry and paintings by Majorelle.
The garden has more than 15 bird species and a huge variety of exotic flowers and vegetation that can be found only in North Africa. This garden is probably the most well taken care monument in Marrakesh.
