Photo Gallery of Djemaa el-Fna Marrakech main square by night, restaurant stands, street musicians and night activities.
Djemaa el-Fna is one of Morocco’s most spectacular places to visit. During the day it is busy with orange juice stalls, Gnawa musicians, youths with chained Barbary apes and snake charmers.
As the night falls, the square is transformed into a kind of psychedelic living, blending hundreds of restaurant stands smoking the sky, hundreds of street musicians, story tellers and spice and herbal marabous.
Djemaa el-Fna and its extreme cultural importance was included in Unesco list for protected places into the World Heritage Program. As safety is a concern, due to the high number of street pick-pockets, strong undercover police presence ensures the safety of visitors.
