Its 130 student dormitory cells come together around a patio abundantly engraved in cedar, marble and stucco. The carvings contain no illustration of humans or animals as mandatory by Islam, and consist completely of words and geometric patterns. Ben Youssef Madrassa is annexed to Marrakech Museum and can be visited on the same ticket.
